Are you a natural light photographer curious about working with artificial lights? Are you starting your photography career and have no idea how to use studio lights? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this workshop is for you!
You really don't need much to create beautiful images. In this course, we will go over the many different looks that can be created with only one artificial light, including backlight and low-key looks. We will also talk about the difference between strobes, tungsten and LED lights, as well as different "hacks" that give you the result you would normally think you could only get by investing in expensive modifiers and reflectors. If time permits, we will also include a brief editing lesson at the end of the day, showing students how to use Photoshop to finalize their images. This is intended to be a demonstration class, but it can also be a hands-on class, so students are welcome to bring their cameras.
